Wendy's, operating more than 20 stores across New Zealand, wanted to modernise how customers order — shifting from counter sales to mobile ordering to cut wait times and improve operational efficiency.
The solution
We built native iOS and Android apps with streamlined mobile ordering, geolocation verification, and in-app payment. The apps surfaced exclusive app-only deals and coupons, offered tab navigation across menu, orders, and favourites, and let customers browse before creating an account. Everything integrated with Wendy's point-of-sale systems.
The result
Following a controlled soft launch in March 2019 and full release that April, the apps changed how customers order and use the drive-through — and set the business up well for contactless ordering in the years that followed.
