Around a quarter of New Zealanders defer necessary healthcare because of upfront cost. HealthNow set out to remove that barrier as the country's first health-focused Buy Now, Pay Later platform, letting patients spread the cost of care interest-free.
The solution
We converted HealthNow's Progressive Web App into native iOS and Android applications, upgrading the tech stack, refining the UX/UI, and strengthening the backend — all in under three months. Going native gave the app secure access to device hardware while keeping the experience fast and reliable.
The result
Users can spread healthcare payments with no interest or fees, receive employer contributions to their Health Wallets, and set aside funds for future care — an improved experience built on a more secure foundation.
